We’ve got a couple quick announcements for you today, but first a new disc reviews...

Tim has just turned in his thoughts on Don Sharp’s Kiss of the Vampire (1963) from Hammer Films, now available on Blu-ray from Scream Factory. It’s a fun film and well worth a look on disc.

In release news today, Lionsgate has just announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of The Terror: Infamy – The Complete Second Season on 8/18 (SRP $27.99 and $21.98 respectively.

Jon Stewart’s recent political satire, Irresistible, is coming to Blu-ray on 9/1 from Universal. The films stars Steve Carell, Rose Byrne, Chris Cooper, and Mackenzie Davis.

Moonstone Entertainment has set Noah Baumbach’s Mr. Jealousy for release on Blu-ray on 1/19/21. [Read on here...]

All right, we’ve been busy here at The Bits these last couple days. Just a quick note first: Tomorrow is my birthday, so I’m not working. I turn 49, if you can believe it, which I can’t. First, I’ve just spent the last six months putting Samsung’s launch 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, the UBD-K8500, through its paces and I have my full review for you to check out today. Suffice it to say that there’s never been a debut player for any format (that I know of) that offers so much quality and performance for such a low price. Thank you for tuning in. This past week, I caught a screening of The Nice Guys and I’m happy to report that it’s one of my favorite films of the year. Movie studios need to ignore its not-so-great box office reception and continue to let Shane Black write and direct more movies, in my opinion.
