We’re starting things off today with a quick heads-up: Amazon is having a sale on select anime titles on Blu-ray and DVD today, and the titles include Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series and Space Battleship Yamato. Worth checking out if you’re interested and the link is here.

In announcement news today, Shout! Factory has just announced the 1/8 Blu-ray release of their When Harry Met Sally...: Collector’s Edition as part of their Shout Select line-up. The film is mastered from a new 4K scan. Extras will include all the legacy special features, along with the new Scenes from a Friendship interview featurette with Rob Reiner and Billy Crystal. We’ve got a bunch more new Blu-ray reviews for you to check out today, including Tim’s take on Ash vs Evil Dead: The Complete Collection from Starz and Lionsgate, Single White Female from Scream Factory, and the Zombie: Limited Edition from Blue Underground, David’s look at The Bravados from Twilight Time and The Satanic Rites of Dracula from Warner Archive, and finally Dr. Adam Jahnke’s updated look at Trick ’r Treat from Scream Factory.
We’ve got a quick news update for you today, starting with word that Sony’s Venom – which as we’ve revealed streets on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 12/18 (with the digital release due on 12/11) – will include a Venom Mode pop-up trivia option, 3 deleted and extended scenes, 5 featurettes (From Symbiote to Screen, The Lethal Protector in Action, Venom Vision, Designing Venom, and Symbiote Secrets), 8 Pre-Vis sequences, the Sunflower music video (by Post Malone and Swae Lee), and a sneak peek of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Audio on the 4K version at least will include Dolby Atmos, with HDR10 high dynamic range. [Read on here...]

First, Paramount has just officially announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of The Cloverfield Paradox on 2/5. This has, up until now, been a Netflix exclusive. The film will include Dolby Atmos audio and two featurettes, Things Are Not as They Appear: The Making of The Cloverfield Paradox and Shepard Team: The Cast.
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has just set The Hate U Give for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 1/22. Extras will include audio commentary (by George Tillman, Jr., Amandla Stenberg, Russell Hornsby, Angie Thomas, and Craig Hayes), 3 extended scenes, and 6 featurettes. Audio is 7.1 DTS-HD MA on the Blu-ray editions. [Read on here...]
