Today’s update is a quick one, as we’re working on a bunch of new Blu-ray reviews for posting over the next week...
In keeping with this notion, we have Tim Salmons’ review of Scream Factory’s The Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie – Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray Disc for you this afternoon. I’ve also turned in a review of Magnolia’s recent Best of Enemies documentary on the 1968 TV political debates between William F. Buckley, Jr. and Gore Vidal – fascinating stuff. Don’t miss them. Meanwhile today, while there’s little in the way of meaningful announcement news, the Golden Globes nominees have been announced (see the full list here) and there are some oddballs. I’m thrilled to see Sylvester Stallone get nominated for his role in the excellent Creed, but The Martian a nominee for Best Musical/Comedy? Weird, man.
And, of course, there’s the little observation that we are now officially just one week away from the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters worldwide. Almost there, folks. Soon, all will be revealed... for good or ill. Fingers crossed!
