Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (the new name for The Walt Disney Company’s new home entertainment conglomeration) has set the CG-animated Ron’s Gone Wrong for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on 12/7, with the Digital release due on 12/15. (And yes, those dates are correct.) Extras will include A Boy and His B*Bot: When Jack Met Zach, Making Ron Right, and Liam Payne’s Sunshine music video.
Here’s something cool for animation fans: Following the success of their recent Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series Blu-ray releases, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC have just set The Batman: The Complete Series for release on Blu-ray and Digital on 2/1/22. All 65 episodes will be included fully remastered on 6 BDs. The set will also include 7 featurettes (The Dark Dynasty Continues, Joining Forces: The Batman’s Legendary Team-Ups, Building Batman, Gotham PD Case Files, New Look, New Direction, New Knight, The Batman: Season 3 Unmasked, and The Batman: Season 4 Unmasked), along with 2 quizzes (The Batman Junior Detective Challenge and The Batman Junior Detective Exam: Level 2). Warner Bros. and DC will also release Stargirl: The Complete Second Season on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/8/22. The set will include all 13 episodes, a gag reel, and the Never Alone: Heroes and Allies featurette.
Meanwhile, Universal has set Dear Evan Hansen for Blu-ray and DVD release on 12/7, with the Digital release expected on 11/23. No 4K is currently planned. Extras will include 5 Songs to Be Seen clips, Looking Through the Lens: The Making of Dear Evan Hansen, and Stars in Our Eyes.
Universal has also set Copshop for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 12/7, with the Digital release due on 11/23. The film stars Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo.
Also, Lionsgate will release American Sicario on Blu-ray and DVD on 12/14.
And Screen Media has set One Shot for Blu-ray and DVD release on 12/7.
Finally, here’s something fun for you Space: 1999 fans: Network in the UK has just announced that they’re releasing a Space: 1999: Super Space Theater 5-disc Blu-ray box set on 1/31/22 that includes the feature films Alien Attack, Journey Through the Black Sun, Cosmic Princess, and Destination Moonbase-Alpha fully-remastered in HD from original film elements. Each film will be included in both 4x3 and 16x9 widescreen versions, and you’ll have the choice of listening to the theatrical soundtrack or the original TV soundtrack. You’ll also get theatrical trailers for each film and an Interview with David Hirsch (the mastermind behind the Super Space Theater versions). Finally, the set will also include Spazio 1999 in 16x9, with the original Italian movie soundtrack and an Ennio Morricone score. You can pre-order the set now from Network (click here) at the early bird price of £40. After the set streets on January 31, the price goes up to £50.
