In announcement news today, Fox has set a new 10th Anniversary Edition of Alexander Payne’s Sideways for release on Blu-ray on 10/7. There’s no new content aside from the original commentary by Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church, 7 deleted scenes, and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Fox has also set Let’s Be Cops for Blu-ray and DVD release on 11/11.
Well Go USA Entertainment has set Chang Jung-chi’s Touch of the Light for DVD only release on 11/25.
Sony will release Martha Stephens & Aaron Katz’s Land Ho! on Blu-ray Combo and digital on 11/4. Extras will include deleted scenes, commentary with Paul Eenhoorn, Earl Lynn Nelson, Martha Stephens and Aaron Katz, and video of the Los Angeles Film Festival Q&A. The film was an official selection at the Sundance, LA and Tribeca Film Festivals.
Fans of Steven Seagal will be pleased to learn that Lionsgate has set Gutshot Straight (to DVD) for release on 12/2.
Lionsgate is also releasing HISTORY Presents: The Definitive WWI & WWII Collection box set on DVD on 11/24, featuring The World Wars, 100 Years of WWI, 75 Years of WWII, WWII in HD (except of course in SD) and more.
In better news, however, Lionsgate is also releasing A Most Wanted Man on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/4. Not only is this a John le Carré adaptation, it's one of the last films to star Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Finally, HBO has set Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom: The Complete Second Season for Blu-ray and DVD release on 11/4 as well.
