Warner Home Video has announced the Gone with the Wind: 75th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-ray box set for release on 9/30. From the press release: “The memorabilia includes a replica of Rhett Butler’s handkerchief and a music box paperweight playing Tara’s theme with an image on top of the Rhett-Scarlett kiss. Also included is a 36-page companion booklet featuring a look at the immortal style of Gone with the Wind, written by New York fashion designer and Project Runway fan favorite Austin Scarlett, whose signature look reflects the romantic elegance of the Gone with the Wind era. The new special features include footage of Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh attending the original movie premiere in Atlanta and Old South/New South, a journey through today’s South, revisiting the real-life locations depicted to see how the world of the Old South continues to inform life in the New South’s cosmopolitan world.” More importantly, the studio has also announced that the film is also going back into theaters for a pair of nationwide Fathom Events screenings on 9/28 and 10/1. More details are available at this link, and here’s the box set artwork…

Home Entertainment is releasing a terrific Sherlock: The Complete Seasons 1-3 Blu-ray/DVD Combo box set (SRP $197.50, but Amazon has it for just $138.25). The 14 disc set will include all three seasons (9 episodes) on both Blu-ray and DVD, with all of the previously-available bonus content, as well as all-new content including: Outtakes from Seasons 2 and 3, all new audio commentary, an exclusive deleted scene from Season Three, BBC Archive interviews with Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Steven Moffat, and Sue Vertue from the time of the Season One premiere (and which are all new to disc), the 60-minute Unlocking Sherlock documentary (about Season Three), and a trio of 25-minute Sherlock Uncovered featurettes about each Season Three episode. Not only that, the box set also includes limited edition busts of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, and a pair of limited edition collectible artwork cards. It’s pretty slick.
