Here’s a look at the Blu-ray cover artwork for both, along with Warner’s The Blacklist: The Complete Third Season (click the cover art to pre-order on Amazon.com and support The Bits)...
Also today, Mill Creek Entertainment has announced that it has licensed the rights to release Universal’s Knight Rider: The Complete Series and Miami Vice: The Complete Series on Blu-ray here in the States, using the same assets that were prepared for those series’ international release on the format. Knight Rider: The Complete Series is a 16-disc set officially due in stores on 10/4 (SRP $99.98). Miami Vice: The Complete Series will be a 20-disc also set to street on 10/4 (SRP $99.98). Here’s what those will look like (again, click to pre-order on Amazon.com and support The Bits)...
Finally today, you can see one more title there. Earlier this year, we heard that Warner and director George Miller planned to release a black and white version of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray. Now it looks like we’re getting the first peek at it. Warner Europe has just listed an Amazon Germany-exclusive Mad Max: High Octane Collection for Blu-ray release on 9/29. It’s set to include Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, and Mad Max: Fury Road, along with the Mad Max: Fury Road “Black and Chrome” Edition in B&W. It also includes the Madness of Max documentary, existing extras and (apparently) 4 hours of new bonus features including Going Mad, Road War, and more. We expect that some variation of this set will be released here in the States as well, and we’re checking with Warner Bros Home Entertainment to see what they say. We’ll let you know when we hear back from them. We’ve included the Amazon Germany pre-order link on the artwork there, but we do not yet know if it will be fully compatible for non-European hardware, so caveat emptor applies. In the meantime, here’s a fan-made trailer for Fury Road in B&W to give you a taste of what’s to come...
That’s all for now. Stay tuned...
