All right, just a couple things for you today…

First up here at The Bits this afternoon, the good Doctor Jahnke has turned in his weekly An Honor to Be Nominated installment of Jahnke’s Electric Theatre, this time looking back at the release of Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic. Enjoy!

In announcement news today, Scream Factory has just confirmed the Blu-ray Combo release of The Legend of Hell House on 8/26. Extras will include a new interview with director John Hough, a new audio commentary with actress Pamela Franklin, and the theatrical trailer. [Read on here…]

Scream has also set Robert Clouse’s Deadly Eyes for first ever Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/15.

Shout! meanwhile will release the British comedy Vinyl on Blu-ray and DVD on 7/1.

Warner Home Video has set Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday for 15th Anniversary Blu-ray release on 9/9. All the previous content is expected to carry over, and the release will add the new Anything Can Happen documentary with veteran NFL players. SRP is $19.98.

Warner Archive has Kismet (1955) coming on Blu-ray Disc on 6/10.

20th Century Fox has set Birdcage for Blu-ray release on 6/3.

Universal will release Sabotage on Blu-ray and DVD on 7/22.

AMC’s Turn: The Complete First Season is up for pre-order on Amazon, as is Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, and Showtime’s Penny Dreadful: Season One (street dates TBA). Click the links for the pre-order pages.

Fans of legendary animation director Hayao Miyazaki will be pleased to learn that the U.K. Blu-ray release of his final film, The Wind Rises, is set for 9/29. Disney owns the U.S. release rights to the title, so it seems likely that the studio will deliver the title here for the holidays.

Finally, you fans of Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be interested to know that Amazon has an   “Electro Collector’s Edition” exclusive Blu-ray version coming soon. Street date is TBA, but SRP for this version is $149.99 with Amazon selling it for $99.99.
