Back on the subject of new Amazon.com pre-orders (continued from the last few days), Fox’s Eddie the Eagle is now available for BD pre-order on Amazon.com, as are Universal’s Hail, Caesar! and Eye in the Sky, and Paramount’s Zoolander No. 2. Street dates for all three are TBA. On the TV front, Fox’s Homeland: The Complete Fifth Season, Warner and DC’s Supergirl: The Complete First Season and The Flash: Season Two, Warner’s Blindspot: Season One, and Sony’s House of Cards: The Complete Fourth Season are all also available for Blu-ray pre-order on Amazon (street dates TBA). Click on the title links in the above paragraph for the respective Amazon.com pre-order pages.
Readers have been asking us about the potential Blu-ray and DVD release of the Amazon series The Man in the High Castle and Netflix’s Daredevil (among others). We’re not sure yet when those will be released on disc. It seems likely they will be at some point, but unlike Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards, those shows are produced without the involvement of the traditional major Hollywood studios (though ABC TV is involved in Daredevil). So we’ll have to wait and see.
Finally today, here’s something pretty cool: Star Wars visual effects supervisor Phil Tippett and his Tippett Studios have teamed up with HappyGiant to unveil a new augmented reality/VR gaming concept called HoloGrid: Monster Battle. You can watch the teaser trailer for the project here...
Here’s a look at some more new Blu-ray Disc cover artwork, with Amazon.com pre-order links if available. As always, a portion of anything you order from Amazon (after clicking to them through any of our links) goes to help support our work here at The Bits and we really do appreciate it...
Stay tuned...
