Fox has also announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of Nat Faxon and Jim Rash’s Downhill on 5/19. The film stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell, and is an American adaptation of the French-Swedish dramedy Force Majeure (2014). Extras will include 3 deleted scenes, 3 featurettes (Outtakes: Dinner with Charlotte, Origins of the Film, and Locations), and a Digital-only featurette (Casting the Stanton Family and Friends).
And Fox has set Benh Zeitlin’s Peter Pan-based film Wendy for Digital-only release on 4/17. Digital extras will include 4 featurettes (including a Deleted Scenes Reel, Making Wendy, an Audition Reel, and a VFX Breakdown).
Meanwhile, Oscilloscope Films has set immigration docu-thriller The Infiltrators for Digital release on 5/1 (with VOD following on 6/2).
Also, the Warner Archive Collection now has available the following new titles on Blu-ray: V: The Final Battle (1984 mini-series), Tin Cup (1996), and Action of the Tiger (1957). Back in print on DVD are Footlight Parade (1933), Broadway Melody of 1936 (1935), Broadway Melody of 1938 (1937), Du Barry Was a Lady (1943), Love Me or Leave Me (1955), and Guys and Dolls (1955).
And finally today, our friends at Shout! Factory have announced the extras you’ll find on their 5/26 4K Ultra HD release of Michael Cimino’s The Deer Hunter (1978). Look for the 4K disc to include audio commentary with cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond and journalist Bob Fisher. To this, the Blu-ray will add that same commentary, an interview with film critic David Thompson, deleted and extended scenes, the trailer, TV spots, and a still gallery. But those are all legacy extras. Shout! has also created 4 new interview featurettes, including (We Don’t Belong Here with actor John Savage, The War at Home with actress Rutanya Alda, A National Anthem with producer Michael Deeley, and This is Not About War with post-production supervisor Katy Haber and Universal Marketing executive Willette Klausner).
