I’ve given Warner’s Blade Runner 2049 an in-depth look on Blu-ray 3D, a solid disc that’s Best Buy-exclusive but that’s also rather hard to find at the moment. It seems to be shipping in low quantities, as many of the retailer’s stores don’t have the disc in stock and you can’t currently find it for sale on their website either. In announcement news today, Kino has set a pair of classic Gloria Swanson silent comedies, both directed by Allan Dwan, for release on Blu-ray on 4/10 as part of their Studio Classics line-up. They include Manhandled (1924) and Stage Struck (1925). Each is mastered from recent 2K scans, and will include audio commentaries, booklet essays, and accompanying piano scores. [Read on here…]
