In announcement news today, Shout! Factory has just announced the 1/8 Blu-ray release of their When Harry Met Sally...: Collector’s Edition as part of their Shout Select line-up. The film is mastered from a new 4K scan. Extras will include all the legacy special features, along with the new Scenes from a Friendship interview featurette with Rob Reiner and Billy Crystal. Cowboy Bebop coming to BD in December, plus Disney/Amazon Feud Part II, Penny Dreadful & more
All right, we’ve got some cool news for you anime fans. FUNimation has officially announced that their planned Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series will finally arrive on Blu-ray Disc (and also DVD) in December. Four versions are planned: A DVD standard edition, a Blu-ray standard edition, an Amazon-exclusive BD/DVD combo premium edition, and a second BD/DVD Combo premium edition that will be exclusive to the FUNimation.com site. The exclusive versions will include different packaging and collectable swag items TBA. All right, the big news today is that Walt Disney Home Entertainment has just delivered on the classic catalog animation front as we expected them to: The studio has just officially set The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad: Special Edition, the Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Special Edition, the Hercules: Special Edition, the Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers – 10th Anniversary Edition, and the Tarzan: Special Edition for Blu-ray/DVD Combo release on 8/12 (SRP $29.99 each). In addition, Disney has also just officially set the Sleeping Beauty: Diamond Edition for Blu-ray Combo release on 10/7 ($36.99).
