Meanwhile, Shout! Factory and their Scream brand have announced a slew of great catalog Blu-ray titles for release in March, including The Gong Show Movie, Cherry Falls, Murders in the Rue Morgue/The Dunwich Horror, and The Sicilian: Director’s Cut on 3/29, Midnight Run and Disturbing Behavior on 3/22, Braddock: Missing in Action III and Invasion U.S.A. on 3/15, Species III/Species: The Awakening on 3/8, and The Boy and Narcopolis on 3/1.
Speaking of Shout, we finally know what they’re releasing on 3/8 (via Timeless Media) related to Baa Baa Black Sheep... it’s Baa Baa Black Sheep/The Black Sheep Squadron – The Final Season on DVD (SRP $24.97... but Amazon has it for just $14.99). So Universal released the first season of the series as Volume 1 (seen here, which included the pilot movie and the first 10 episodes) and Volume 2 (seen here, which included the next 12 episodes) on DVD, and this set at long last includes the entire second season (the final 13 episodes). Very cool. Our thanks to Shout and Timeless for finally finishing the release of this series on DVD for Region 1 fans. See the cover artwork below.
Also today, Olive Films has set Code 46 and Mystery Date for BD release on 2/16.
Kino Lorber has set The Passage for Blu-ray release on 2/9.
And BBC Home Entertainment will release Doctor Who: Series 9, Part 2 on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/26.
Here now, we’ll leave you for the week with a look at a bunch of cover artwork for some of the titles mentioned above. Clicking on the covers will take you to their respective pre-order pages on Amazon, if available (and remember that ordering them through our links helps to support The Bits and we appreciate it!)…
Have a great weekend and stay tuned!
