In announcement news this week, Universal has set Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, Fletch Lives, and For Richer or Poorer for their first-ever U.S. Blu-ray release on 12/26. You can see the cover art and Amazon pre-order links below.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set Agatha Christie’s Crooked House for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/16/17. They also have Accident Man due on DVD and digital on 2/6.
CBS and Paramount have set Salvation: Season One for DVD release on 12/19. The show was recently renewed for a second season by the network.
Speaking of Paramount, we first revealed here on The Bits that Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane were coming to 4K Ultra HD early next year, and now the first film at least is available for pre-order on Amazon with a street date of 1/23/18. We expect the sequel to appear shortly for pre-order as well. You can see the cover artwork below and we’ve updated our handy 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.
Lionsgate has announced The Killing of a Sacred Deer for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on 1/23. They also have Manhunt: Unabomber coming to Blu-ray and DVD on 12/26.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has set Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz: We’re not in Kansas Anymore – Season One, Volume One for release on DVD on 3/27/18. Warner has also set Fuller House: The Complete Second Season for DVD only release on 12/12. And the studio will release Major Crimes: The Sixth and Final Season and Major Crimes: The Complete Series on DVD on 3/13/18.
RLJ Entertainment has officially set Brawl in Cell Block 99 for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 12/16. The film stars Vince Vaughn.
Arrow Video and Arrow Academy will release Pulp and Whiskey Galore on Blu-ray and DVD on 12/12. That same day will also see the U.S. release of the Donnie Darko: Limited Edition Steelbook Blu-ray. Then on 12/26, look for The Apartment: Limited Edition on Blu-ray.
Twilight Time has announced that their December Blu-ray slate (due on 12/19) will include Woody Allen’s Alice (1990), Otto Preminger’s Forever Amber (1947), Arthur Hiller’s The Hospital (1971), Bryan Forbes’ The L-Shaped Room (1962), and Robert Fuest’s Wuthering Heights (1970). SRP is $29.95 each and they’ll be available for pre-order on Twilight Time website and Screen Archives Entertainment starting at 1 PM Pacific on Wednesday, 12/6.
Mill Creek Entertainment will release Joe Camp’s Benji (1974) on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/6, along with The Kids in the Hall: The Complete Collection (Uncensored) on DVD.
The Cohen Film Collection will release the Merchant Ivory production of Heat and Dust (1983) on Blu-ray on 12/12.
And Synapse Films will release a new Suspiria: Limited Steelbook Edition Blu-ray on 12/19 (SRP $89.95), featuring 2 Blu-rays and a CD.
