In terms of announcement news today, our friends at Criterion have revealed their February 2021 slate of Blu-ray and DVD releases, which is set to include Alan J. Pakula’s The Parallax View (Spine #1064 – Blu-ray and DVD) on 2/9, Ousmane Sembène’s Mandabi (Spine #1065 – Blu-ray and DVD) on 2/16, and Ramin Bahrani’s Chop Shop (Spine #1067 – Blu-ray and DVD) and Man Push Cart (Spine #1066 – Blu-ray and DVD), as well as Joyce Chopra’s Smooth Talk (Spine #1068 – Blu-ray and DVD), on 2/23. We’ve updated the Criterion Spines Project pages here at The Bits accordingly.

Also today, Arrow Video has just revealed that their finally-cleared Django (1966) release in the US and Canada will be available on Blu-ray, Blu-ray Steelbook, and 4K Ultra HD formats. The 4K was an unexpected surprise. It’s available for pre-order now and the street date is listed as “coming soon,” which in this case means as soon as they can get it in stock and shipped.

Speaking of 4K, A24 has just revealed that their Midsommar: Director’s Cut is back in stock on Blu-ray and 4K at their online shop. So if you’re interested, now’s the time to act (click here for that).
