In announcement news this morning, Criterion has unveiled an amazing slate of titles for release in January, including Toshiya Fujita’s The Complete Lady Snowblood (Blu-ray and DVD – includes Lady Snowblood [Spine #790] and Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance [Spine #791]) on 1/5/2016, Wim Wenders’ The American Friend (Spine #793 – Blu-ray and DVD) and Giuseppe De Santis’ Bitter Rice (Spine #792 – Blu-ray, DVD, and Hulu Plus) on 1/12, and the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis (Spine #794 – Blu-ray and DVD) and Charles Vidor’s Gilda (Spine #795 – Blu-ray and DVD) on 1/19. First Zatoichi and now Lady Snowblood? Terrific news! Can Lone Wolf and Cub be far behind?
Also, as expected, Disney and Lucasfilm did unveil the final poster artwork for the upcoming theatrical release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens yesterday. Here’s what it looks like...
And as promised, if you tune in to ESPN’s Monday Night Football tonight, you’ll get to see the debut of the full final trailer for the film. The trailer will bow online as well shortly afterwards, and tickets for the film go on sale tonight too. Check with your local theaters for all the details.
