Speaking of the Hell Plaza Oktoberfest, Dr. Jahnke’s review today is a great one: The Vincent Price Collection on Blu-ray from Scream Factory, featuring The Pit and the Pendulum, The Masque of the Red Death, The Haunted Palace, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Witchfinder General! Also today, Tim Salmons has turned in another fine Criterion review in the form of Ingmar Bergman’s 1958 The Magician on Blu-ray. Enjoy!
Finally, just a couple of quick announcements…
Paramount Home Media and Lucasfilm are releasing the first three Indiana Jones films – Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade – as Blu-ray singles for the first time on 12/17. They’ll also be released digitally on 11/19. You’ll find the cover artwork below. Note that the final film in the series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, has been available individually before.
Speaking of Lucasfilm, a few readers are reporting audio sync issues with Warner and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Season Five on Blu-ray and also those same discs in the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Seasons 1-4 BD box set. We’ll try to see if we can find out anything, but no promises.
Here’s that new Indiana Jones single BD art…
All right, that’s it for this week. Have a great weekend, everyone!
