Crazy Rich Asians, Christopher Robin, Cliffhanger 4K, new catalog titles, new reviews & more

Let’s dive right into today’s announcement news, shall we?

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just set Crazy Rich Asians on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/20, with the Digital release set for 11/6. No 4K Ultra HD is planned. Extras will include audio commentary by director Jon M. Chu and novelist Kevin Kwan, the Crazy Rich Fun featurette, a gag reel, and deleted scenes.

Walt Disney Studios has set Christopher Robin for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 11/6. Again, no 4K Ultra HD is planned. Extras will include 4 featurettes (In Which... A Movie Is Made for Pooh, In Which... Pooh Finds His Voice, In Which... Pooh and Walt Become Friends, and In Which... Pooh and Friends Come to Life). [Read on here...]

On the 4K Ultra HD front, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set Renny Harlin’s Cliffhanger for release on the format on 1/15/19, in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary. All the previous Blu-ray extras will carry over. This is a native 4K scan of the original camera negative and the disc will include HDR10 and Dolby Atmos audio.

Back to Warner for a moment... the studio will release Fuller House: The Complete Third Season on DVD only on 1/22/19.

Lionsgate will release Blindspotting on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 11/20.

Scream Factory has just announced their Candyman: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray for 11/20, with new 2K scans of both the theatrical and unrated cuts, a pair of new audio commentaries (one with writer-director Bernard Rose and actor Tony Todd and another with Stephen Jones and Kim Newman), the previous commentaries, all the previous extras, and 8 new retrospective featurette interviews with the cast and crew. And Kino Lorber Studio Classics will release Death Ship (1980), The Last Command (1955), Wild Women (1970 TV Movie), and El Paso (1949) on Blu-ray on 12/11.
