Also today, the BBC has officially announced Good Omens for release on November 5th on Blu-ray and DVD. Extras exclusive to the discs will include audio commentaries for all 6 episodes, a trailer for the series, and 6 featurettes (Page to Screen, Aziraphale’s World, Bookshop Tour, Crowley’s World, Characters of Good Omens, and The World of Good Omens).
20th Century Fox and MGM are going to be releasing 007: The Daniel Craig Collection on 4K Ultra HD on 10/22. The set will include Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and SPECTRE. SRP is $69.99. We’re awaiting the official announcement, but here – at long last – is the Amazon.com pre-order link. Note that the usual discount will be applied once the listing is official (and if you pre-order now, you will get the discounted price when it’s available).
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing the documentary David Crosby: Remember my Name on Blu-ray and Digital on 10/22.
Adrian Stewart’s sci-fi drama Diminuendo is now available on Amazon Prime, notable for the fact that it’s co-written by our old friend Bryn Pryor, and especially for the fact that it was Richard Hatch’s last film (he of Battlestar Galactica fame). Do check it out. It’s also coming to iTunes and elsewhere, and there will be a region-free Blu-ray and DVD release later this year.
Scream Factory has just confirmed that their 10/29 release of the Hammer film The Devil Rides Out (1968) on Blu-ray will include a new 2K scan of the 20th Century Fox interpositive (also included is the Studio Canal restored master), new audio commentary (with author/film historian Steve Haberman, filmmaker/film historian Constantine Nasr and author/screenwriter Richard Christian Matheson), and 2 new featurettes (Satanic Shocks and Folk Horror Goes Haywire). You’ll also get legacy extras including audio commentary with actors Christopher Lee and Sarah Lawson, 2 more featurettes (Black Magic: The Devil Rides Out and Dennis Wheatley at Hammer), a World of Hammer episode, theatrical trailers, and a still gallery.
Cinedigm has set Gothic Harvest for release on DVD on 11/15, with the Digital release expected on 10/5.

Any fans of Ridley Scott’s Alien in the house? We have a trailer for Alexandre O. Philippe’s new Memory: Origins of Alien documentary, which will play in theaters and On Demand starting on 10/4. On a related note, we wanted to send a word of congratulations out to our old friend Charles de Lauzirika, the long-time documentary and special edition producer (whose work includes the great Blade Runner and Alien Anthology BD sets). In streaming news, Apple has just announced that their new Apple TV+ service will support 4K, Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio when it launches on November 1st (but only on select devices). You can read more here. This, plus word that Disney+ is going to be supporting 4K and HDR as well, is great news for fans of 4K content.
Finally today, and speaking of streaming, we now have the premiere dates for a number of upcoming steaming shows that we’re excited to see soon, including Amazon’s Jack Ryan: Season 2 on November 1, Apple TV+’s For All Mankind on November 1, HBO/BBC’s His Dark Materials on November 4, Disney+’s The Mandalorian on November 12, and the new season of The Expanse on Amazon on December 13. That’s a lot of potentially great TV and we’re really looking forward to them all.
