Twilight Time has set their 10/13 Blu-ray release slate (pre-orders open on 9/30), which will include Scream and Scream Again (1970 – isolated score track, audio commentary with film historians David Del Valle and Tim Sullivan, 2 featurettes (Gentleman Gothic: Gordon Hessler at AIP and An Interview with Uta Levka), a still gallery, a radio spot, and the trailer); John Carpenter’s Vampires (1998 – isolated score track, audio commentary with writer/director John Carpenter, The Making of John Carpenter’s Vampires, and the trailer); Black Widow (1987 – isolated score track, audio commentary with film historians Julie Kirgo and Nick Redman, TV spots, and the trailer); and Count Yorga, Vampire (1970 – isolated score track, audio commentary with film historians David Del Valle and Tim Sullivan, 2 featurettes (My Dinner with Yorga: The Robert Quarry Rue Morgue Interview, a Reading by David Del Valle and Tim Sullivan and Fangirl Radio Tribute to Robert Quarry with Tim Sullivan), still galleries of The MGM Archives and The Tim Sullivan Archives, and the trailer).
Meanwhile, Kino Lorber has revealed that Ray Winston’s Ambush Bay (1966), Stuart Heisler’s Beachhead (1954), Edward L. Cahn’s Curse of the Faceless Man (1958), and Tom Mankiewicz’s Delirious (1991) are all coming soon to Blu-ray, while Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins is coming on 12/8 on DVD only.
Also today, Lionsgate will release The End of the Tour on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/3.
PBS Home Entertainment has set The Mystery of Matter: Search for the Elements for DVD only release on 9/22.
XLrator Media has set Mateo for DVD only release on 10/6.
And Paramount and Nickelodeon will release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete First and Second Seasons on DVD only on 10/6 as well.
Also today, we’re getting reports that Fox and Amazon may be embroiled in another Blu-ray/DVD sales dispute, because a number of Fox titles are no longer available for pre-order on the site. *sigh* We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more.
Finally, Sony has indeed announced that singer Sam Smith is singing the title song to the upcoming Bond film SPECTRE (due in theaters on 11/6). The track is called Writing’s on the Wall and will officially be released on 9/25.
