Just a little bit of announcement news for you today...
Kino Lorber has announced that The House on 92nd Street (1945) is coming to Blu-ray on 11/15. They also have The Battle of the Sexes (1960), starring Peter Sellers, coming on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/1. Also coming that day on Blu-ray only are The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend (1949) and I Wake Up Screaming (1941).
Anchor Bay will release Christmas Eve on DVD only on 11/1, starring Patrick Stewart, Gary Cole, and Cheryl Hines.
RLJ Entertainment has set Nina for Blu-ray and DVD release on 9/6. The film stars Zoe Saldana, David Oyelowo, Mike Epps, David Keith, and Ella Joyce.
PBS Distribution is releasing NOVA: Bombing Hitler’s Supergun on DVD only on 8/2.
This is interesting HBO is releasing Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Season 3 on Digital HD only, as of yesterday.
FilmRise is releasing the Tab Hunter Confidential documentary on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/23.
And for U.K. fans only, StudioCanal is releasing new 4K-remastered The Man Who Fell to Earth: 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-rays on 10/24. There will be regular and Limited Edition versions, both backed with new and legacy extras. Lionsgate holds the U.S. distribution rights to Studio Canal titles, so any announcement regarding a Region A version would be forthcoming from them. The official David Bowie website says that a U.S. release IS coming, so click here for more details in the meantime.
