It’s listed as “coming soon” and will include Dolby Vision HDR. Ronin is a terrific film, with some of the best car chases ever staged. You can read my review of Arrow’s excellent 2017 Blu-ray release here. If the AV quality is good, this is one 4K release you’re not going to want to miss.
Also today, we have word that Paramount’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 4K Steelbook will drop on 8/16. This will of course feature the film’s original poster artwork. As you know, the Raiders 4K Steelbook streets on 6/14, while the Temple of Doom follows on 7/12 (click here and here for their respective pre-order pages on Amazon). Crusade isn’t up yet, but we expect it to be soon.
A bunch of you have asked us whether Shout! Factory’s recently-announced Blu-ray release of The Six Million Dollar Man: The Complete Series (street date 7/12) will feature the uncut episodes. I’m told that Shout! believes the episodes to be uncut, but they’re going through them now to confirm, so we would expect them to say more about this later. Do keep in mind, however, that the set will include the 3 pilot films, all 3 reunion specials, and the crossover episodes of The Bionic Woman. And one would think that if this set sells well, The Bionic Woman could follow on Blu-ray at a later date.
Speaking of 1970s Universal TV series, Mill Creek Entertainment is going to be releasing the Steven Spielberg-produced SeaQuest DSV: The Complete Series on Blu-ray on 7/19. The 10-disc/57-episode set (which is available for pre-order now on Amazon) will apparently include new interviews and featurettes with the series creator, directors, and crew, along with deleted scenes. You can see the cover artwork below.
And Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just announced that they’re bringing Krypto the Superdog: The Complete Series to DVD on 8/2 (SRP $44.98), featuring all 39 episodes of the 2005 animated series. There’s no indication of special features on this one though.
We’ll leave you with a look at the artwork for some of the titles mentioned above and more. Click on the covers to visit their respective Amazon.com pre-order pages...
Stay tuned!
