Speaking of 4K, retail sources are suggesting that Paramount’s Terminator: Genisys is coming to the format overseas, which likely means a 4K UHD release is in the offing here in the States as well.
On the standard Blu-ray front today, our friends at Twilight Time have announced details on their May slate of titles, which now includes Year of the Comet (isolated music track, original theatrical trailer), in addition to Who’ll Stop the Rain (isolated music track, Supervising Editor John Bloom Talks About Who’ll Stop the Rain, original theatrical trailer), The Stone Killer (isolated music track, audio commentary with Bronson biographer Paul Talbot, original theatrical trailer), The Man in the Moon (isolated music track, original theatrical trailer), Inferno (1953 – 3D/2D – isolated music track, audio commentary with film historian Alan K. Rode and Robert Ryan’s daughter Lisa Ryan, A New Dimension of Noir: Filming Inferno in 3D, and the original theatrical trailer), and Brutal Tales of Chivalry (aka Shôwa zankyô-den – Brutal Tales of Filmmaking: Toei Producer Toru Yoshida). All are expected to ship on 5/16, with pre-orders open now on Screen Archives Entertainment and Twilight Time Movies.
And Scream Factory has just announced that they’re working on new Blu-ray editions of The Manster (1959) and Timebomb (1991) for release on 5/89.
