Universal has set A Dog’s Purpose for Blu-ray and DVD release on 5/2. They also have Sleepless due on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/18.
Amazon is now taking pre-orders on the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD release of Zhang Yimou’s The Great Wall from Universal. Street date is TBA.
Dark Sky Films will release Catfight on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/25.
Lionsgate has set The Girl with all the Gifts for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/25 as well.
Well Go USA will release Punching Henry on 4/18 on both Blu-ray and DVD. They also have Sword Master coming on both formats on 4/11.
The Cohen Film Collection will release Daughters of the Dust on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/11.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has We Go On set for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/4. Sony will also release a regular edition of Frank Capra’s Mr. Deeds Goes to Town on 4/4.
DiscoTech Media will release Horus, Prince of the Sun on Blu-ray on 3/28.
Olive Films will release Phaedra (1962), Won Ton Ton: The Dog Who Saved Hollywood (2017), Blast-Off (1967), and Cardinal (1936) on Blu-ray on 3/21.
And Kino Lorber has revealed that Blake Edwards’ Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) and H.C. Potter’s The Farmer’s Daughter (1947) are coming soon to Blu-ray and DVD from their Studio Classics line.
Finally, in 4K Ultra HD hardware news, Sony is now shipping its UBP-X800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, which means the unit is now in stock at most major electronics retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, etc. You can order it here via Amazon.com for just $299.
