For those who are open to Digital film experiences, we’ve learned that Don Bluth and Gary Goldman’s animated Anastasia (1997) has been scanned and remastered in 4K and is now available that way on most streaming services. This of course is a Fox Animation Studios title distributed by 20th Century Fox. We don’t know for sure if a disc release is coming, but at least it’s more evidence that 4K remasters are continuing to happen in the Disney corporate empire.
Finally this afternoon, we’ve been getting a flurry of emails from readers who originally requested their replacement discs for James Cameron’s Titanic in 4K from Paramount, who are finally getting their discs in the mail from the studio. If you haven’t gotten your replacement disc yet, keep trying: You’ll find the instructions on how to do so here on The Bits.
And we’ll leave you today with a look at the cover artwork for a number of new and recently announced Blu-ray and 4K titles that are now available for pre-order on Amazon (by clicking on the covers)...
Stay tuned!
