Before we get started today, we have a pair of new Blu-ray reviews for you from Dennis—he’s taken a look at George Cukor’s Holiday, newly available on disc from The Criterion Collection, and also Judy from Lionsgate. Enjoy!

In announcement news today, we’ve got word that Universal plans to release Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/28. The disc will include the Q&A with Director Bong Joon-ho featurette. There are no plans yet for a UK 4K Ultra HD release here in the States, though the film is coming to physical 4K in France, German, and elsewhere. Unfortunately, those discs will not have English subtitles for the original Korean language audio. Fingers crossed that Universal will decide to release a 4K if sales of the Blu-ray are strong. You can see the Blu-ray artwork above left.

Also today, we’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List to reflect a bunch of new street dates and pre-order information we’ve gotten in from retail and industry sources. Here’s the gist (and if you click on the titles links provided, you can pre-order the titles on Amazon if available)... [Read on here...]

20th Century Fox is set to release Ford v Ferrari on Blu-ray, DVD and 4K on 2/11. Jojo Rabbit will follow on 2/18, with the animated Spies in Disguise set to be announced for sometime in March.

BBC Home Entertainment will release the documentary series Seven Worlds, One Planet on Blu-ray and 4K on 3/3.

Discotek Media has released the animated Space Adventure Cobra: The Movie on 4K (street date was 11/26) and they’re set to release Hayao Miyazaki’s Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro on 4K sometime in early 2020 as well.

Funimation is still working on a 4K UHD release of Akira for release this year. The tentative release window is sometime in April, but that could change a little bit.

RLJ Entertainment will release Richard Stanley’s Color Out of Space on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 2/25.

Rian Johnson’s Knives Out is looking like a 2/25 release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD from Lionsgate. Meanwhile, Roland Emmerich’s Midway is coming from Lionsgate (on all three formats) on either 2/11 or 2/25 as well.

Paramount Pictures is releasing Shutter Island on 4K (in Steelbook packaging) on 2/11, with a single-film SKU of The Hunt for Red October on 4K (also in Steelbook packaging) set to follow on 2/25.

Sony will release Jumanji: The Next Level on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on 3/17. Also coming soon from the studio are A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Charlie’s Angels (2019)—street dates TBA.

Upcoming 4K titles from Universal in early 2020 will include Queen & Slim, Sam Mendes’ 1917, and possibly Cats. Street dates are still TBA. Cats is available for pre-order on some retail site but not others. Given how bad the reviews have been, we suspect there’s a good chance the 4K release could get cancelled.

Disney’s live action The Jungle Book (2016) is set for 4K release on 1/14. Frozen 2 looks like a 2/25 release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K. Their final wave of Pixar animated 4K titles will include A Bug’s Life, WALL-E, Up, Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University, either on 2/25 or 3/3. Also coming with them will be both the 1991 animated and 2017 live action versions of Beauty and the Beast.

Disney’s Star Wars: The Skywalker Collection 4K box set continues to be listed in the States only at Best Buy for release on 3/31, but Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is coming on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K widely that same day. It appears that the single-SKU 4K editions of the Star Wars films, along with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be released more widely later in 2020.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release Doctor Sleep on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on 2/4, with DC Universe: Superman – Red Son set to follow on 3/17.

And finally, Well Go USA will release Ne Zha on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 3/3.

Here’s a look at the cover artwork for a few of the titles mentioned above, with Amazon.com pre-order links if available...

Parasite (Blu-ray Disc) 1917 (4K Ultra HD) Superman: Red Son (4K Ultra HD)

Ne Zha (4K Ultra HD) Space Adventure Cobra (4K Ultra HD) Tammy and the T-Rex (4K Ultra HD)

That’s all for now. Have a great weekend!
