If you aren’t aware of them, Arrow Video are the U.K. equivalent of a Criterion Collection meets Scream Factory for little known to popular cult titles and beyond. They do lavish Blu-ray and DVD releases, as well as boxed sets – some would argue with more tender loving care than their American counterparts. Recently, they made the move to distribute some of their releases here in the U.S. (of which I have reviewed a couple in the past). They’re a terrific company, putting out quality releases with amazing transfers, supplemental material, and occasionally, even some swag to go with them.
Now then, let’s move on to the reviews. As usual, we’ll be rolling each review out one at a time all week, so be sure to check back for new ones.
Click on the links here to check them all out:
- 3/7 – The Mutilator
- 3/8 – The Hellraiser Trilogy (Region B)
- 3/9 – American Horror Project: Volume 1
- 3/10 – Tenderness of the Wolves: Special Edition (Region A/B)
- 3/11 – Society: Special Edition
Keep in mind that some of these releases are Region B and Region 2 locked, meaning you need the proper equipment to view them. I will note in each review which titles carry this encoding. While you’re at it, if you see something you like, why don’t you purchase it through the Amazon links that we’ve provided in each review? A portion of anything that you order from Amazon after clicking through to them from our links goes to help support our work here at The Bits, and we really do appreciate your support. Also, take a moment to check out my channel over at YouTube called Podcast Salmonella. I try to get up a new podcast as frequently as I can. Myself and various guests have fun chats about movies, music, comic books, etc. So please check it out. That’s all from me for this week. Enjoy!
