Magnolia Home Entertainment has set Results for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/22, starring Guy Pearce.
Paramount has set Witness and Escape from Alcatraz for release on Blu-ray on 10/13, though for some reason they aren’t available for pre-order on Amazon. They are, however, available for pre-order on Best Buy.com. We don’t believe these are retail-exclusive titles, but that’s possible.

I wish I could say there was a Blu-ray announcement attached to this, but HBO is making the complete Get Smart TV series available digitally on 8/10, in time to mark the show’s 50th anniversary. Individual episodes are $1.99 and complete seasons are $19.99 and it appears that the episodes are SD only. I’d love to have this on Blu-ray, wouldn’t you?
Also today, it looks as if Barnes & Noble’s 50% off Criterion sale is continuing unexpectedly on some titles. Click here for that and thanks to everyone who e-mailed us about it.
