Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just set NBC’s Blindspot: The Complete Second Season for Blu-ray and DVD release on 8/8.
If you have an all-region Blu-ray player, you might be interested in this. Artificial Eye has just released a new 8-disc Andrei Tarkovsky: Sculpting Time – The Deluxe Collection Blu-ray box set in the UK. It includes the director’s complete body of work: Ivan’s Childhood (1962), Andrei Rublev (1966), Solaris (1972), Mirror (1973), Stalker (1979), Nostalgia (1983), and The Sacrifice (1986), along with an entire disc of bonus features. For those of you who may be new to Tarkovsky’s work, the Russian film studio Mosfilm has made five of his films available for free viewing on YouTube. Start here with Ivan’s Childhood and you should be able to find the others by searching the available links.
Finally today, speaking of YouTube, CBS has just posted the first full preview trailer for their new Star Trek: Discovery digital series, straight from the 2017 TV Upfronts in New York. You’ll get 15 episodes in the first season, plus a Talking Trek after show, all available on CBS All Access starting this Fall (no specific date has been announced yet for the pilot). Here’s a taste...
