Okay, today’s Hell Plaza Oktoberfest review here at The Bits is Adam’s look at Robert Hartford-Davis’ 1968 film Corruption, starring Peter Cushing and now available on Blu-ray from Grindhouse Releasing!

Also today here at The Bits, I’ve turned in my review of a film that I found to be the biggest surprise of the summer blockbuster season: Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim, which streets on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD from Warner Home Video next Tuesday (10/15).  It’s a great darned movie that I’m betting is going to pick up a huge cult audience on Blu-ray, so don’t miss it!  [Read on here…]

And in anticipation of the return of AMC’s zombie apocalypse series The Walking Dead for its fourth season this Sunday night, our own Mario Boucher has turned in a new Inside Cinema column that explains why you ought to be watching the show.  He also helps to catch you up for the new season, so beware of spoilers!

In announcement news today, Magnolia Home Entertainment has set Prince Avalanche for Blu-ray and DVD release on 11/12 (SRP $29.98 and $26.98).  The film stars Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch.

CBS and Paramount have announced that Beverly Hills 90210: The Complete Series will arrive on DVD on 11/5 (SRP $349.99).  This is the original 90s series.  Also coming to DVD on 11/12 is Family Ties: The Complete Series (SRP $220.99).

Also today, Fox and Showtime’s Homeland: The Complete Season Three is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com on Blu-ray and DVD (SRP $59.99 and $49.99).  There’s no street date available, but it’s likely to hit stores in early 2014.
