My Two Cents

To round out the week today, our own Tim Salmons has checked with one more Blu-ray review for you: Conrack (1974) as originally released by Fox and now available on disc in HD via Twilight Time. Enjoy!

All right, the big news today is that Walt Disney Home Entertainment has just delivered on the classic catalog animation front as we expected them to: The studio has just officially set The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad: Special Edition, the Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Special Edition, the Hercules: Special Edition, the Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers – 10th Anniversary Edition, and the Tarzan: Special Edition for Blu-ray/DVD Combo release on 8/12 (SRP $29.99 each). And Warner Home Video has set JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time for DVD release on 5/20, followed by The Adventures of Batman on DVD on 6/3. [Read on here...]

Tim Salmons has turned in a pair of new Blu-ray releases for you to enjoy this afternoon, including Scream Factory’s Crawlspace (1986) and Summit/Lionsgate’s recent The Legend of Hercules (a Blu-ray 3D/2D Combo). “Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!” Sorry, couldn’t resist the Clumps reference. LOL.

In announcement news today, Lionsgate has set Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin for Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/15. We can’t wait for that release. [Read on here…]

We’ve got another new review for you today: Tim Salmons’ look at the indie-apocalyptic-chic-road-buddy-movie Best Friends Forever. It’s now available on DVD from Horizon and Kino Lorber.

Also today, our own Russell Hammond has updated the Release Dates & Artwork section with all the latest Blu-ray and DVD cover artwork and Amazon.com pre-orders links. As always, ordering titles though our links helps to support our work here at The Bits and we really do appreciate it.
